ANARCP exists to represent its members who are former members of the NATO/ACO staff.

Former staff members may joining ANARCP if they are entitled to a pension or are covered by the NATO insurance provisions. ANARCP is based within SHAPE (Casteau) Belgium. ANARCP is recognised as a founder member of the CNRCSA.

It functions to study, propose and implement all measures aimed at protecting the interests of retired NATO international civilians, and their survivors, of Military Commands and Agencies within Allied Command Operations (ACO). It supports, in conformity with its aims and so far as its resources permit, the objectives of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. ANARCP represent the interests of the membership of the Association before the NATO Administration as well as before the representative bodies of retired staff of other NATO and International Organisations; particularly those of the Co-coordinated Organisations. It keeps its members informed of all measures affecting them, and to maintain and foster the development of friendly relations, within the ANACRP.
ANARCP establishes and maintains relations with other Associations of former international civil servants, particularly those of the NATO bodies. It promotes social, cultural and sporting activities in co-ordination with the Civilian Staff Associations of SHAPE and its subordinate Headquarters and Agencies.
